Fall Is Here And Your Furnace Is About To Get Busy!

Well… it happened.

The mornings are chilly, the leaves are changing, and we're all starting to think about turning the furnace back on.

After a summer of having windows open, fans running, renovations happening, dust moving around and everything else that comes with summer, your furnace and ductwork are about to get a LOT more use.

And that makes fall a great time to think about what’s sitting inside your ductwork before you start heating your home every day.

So, why clean your ducts in the fall?

Your ductwork is basically the highway for the air moving through your home. When your furnace kicks on, all that air travels through the system and gets distributed into your living spaces.

Over time, dust, dirt, pet hair, debris and other buildup can collect inside your ductwork.

When you have your ducts professionally cleaned, you're removing that buildup before your furnace spends the next several months circulating air throughout your home.

A few benefits of fall duct cleaning:

✔ Start the heating season with a cleaner system Instead of firing up your furnace and immediately blowing months or years of accumulated dust through the house, start fresh.

✔ Less dust around the house If you're constantly dusting your furniture, noticing dust around your vents or seeing buildup on your registers, there may be more sitting inside the duct system.

✔ Help keep your air moving Heavy buildup and debris inside the ductwork can restrict airflow. A properly cleaned system allows air to move through the ductwork as it was designed to.

✔ A great time after summer projects Did you renovate, replace flooring, drywall, sand, paint or do any other dusty projects this year? That dust doesn't magically disappear — some of it can make its way into your HVAC system.

✔ Get ahead of the winter heating season Once the cold weather really arrives, your furnace is working hard. Fall is a great time to get your HVAC system and ductwork ready before you're relying on it every day.

And don't forget your furnace filter!

A clean filter is one of the easiest things you can do to help your heating system.

Check your filter before you turn the furnace on for the season and replace it if it's dirty. And remember — your filter isn't designed to clean out the entire duct system. It catches particles as air passes through the furnace, but it doesn't remove the buildup already sitting inside your ductwork.

At Fresh Start, we WIP!

Our duct cleaning isn't just a quick vacuum at the vents.

We use a 190 PSI compressor, reverse WIP, negative air, HEPA vacuuming and high-resolution camera inspection to get into the duct system and remove the buildup that's been collecting inside.

We also take before-and-after photos so you can actually see the difference.

Because if we're going to clean your ducts, we want you to know they're actually clean.

So while you're pulling out the sweaters, digging out the boots and wondering where summer went…

Don't forget about the furnace!

Fall is the perfect time to get your home ready for the heating season — and if your ducts haven't been cleaned in a few years, this could be the perfect time to give them some attention too.
