Because our cleaning process can disturb dust and debris within the HVAC system and surrounding areas, we do not knowingly work in an environment where asbestos may be present.

If asbestos or a material suspected to contain asbestos is identified when we arrive, the service will be stopped and cannot be completed unless the required safety conditions are met. This policy is in place to protect everyone in the home, including children, pregnant individuals, occupants, and our technicians.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their home is free of asbestos hazards, or that appropriate asbestos assessment and abatement has been completed, before booking our services.

If you are unsure whether asbestos may be present in your home, we strongly recommend having the material professionally assessed before your appointment. Checking in advance can help prevent a cancelled service call and ensure that your appointment can be completed safely.

A $149 service call fee applies when our technicians arrive onsite and are unable to proceed because asbestos or suspected asbestos is identified.

In certain circumstances, we may be able to provide an asbestos waiver and proceed under specific conditions. The home must be vacant for a minimum of 48 hours following the cleaning, and all required documentation and safety requirements must be completed before work begins. Our technicians reserve the right to refuse service whenever they believe conditions are unsafe.

Clutter

For the safety of our technicians and to ensure we can properly complete your duct cleaning, Fresh Start Duct Cleaning Services Inc. cannot proceed with a service call when excessive clutter or personal belongings prevent safe access to the HVAC system, vents, registers, furnace, or work areas.

Our technicians need clear and safe access to all areas required to perform the cleaning, including the furnace, ductwork, registers, returns, and other equipment. We cannot move large amounts of furniture, boxes, personal belongings, storage items, or excessive clutter.

If our technicians arrive and determine that the home is too cluttered or inaccessible to safely perform the service, we may be unable to proceed with the appointment.

A $149 service call fee applies when our technicians arrive onsite and are unable to complete the service due to inadequate access or excessive clutter.

To avoid delays or a missed appointment, please ensure that all vents and registers are accessible and that there is a clear working area around the furnace and any other equipment requiring access before our technicians arrive.

HVAC Equipment & Ductwork Conditions

For the safety of our technicians and to protect your HVAC system, Fresh Start Duct Cleaning Services Inc. may be unable to proceed with a service when the HVAC equipment, ductwork, furnace, or related components are unsafe, damaged, deteriorated, or inaccessible.

During our initial assessment, if we identify conditions such as severely damaged or deteriorated ductwork, collapsed or disconnected ducts, unsafe furnace components, exposed wiring, inaccessible equipment, or other conditions that could be damaged by the cleaning process, we may determine that the service cannot safely be completed.

Our technicians will not perform a cleaning that could cause further damage to your HVAC system or create an unsafe working environment.

If we arrive onsite and are unable to proceed due to the condition, accessibility, or safety of the HVAC equipment or ductwork, a $149 service call fee will apply.

Where possible, we will explain the issue identified and recommend that the appropriate HVAC professional or contractor address the problem before duct cleaning is rescheduled.
