Clean your vent covers regularly; Prepare a spray bottle with 2 cups of warm water, 1/2 cup of vinegar, large squeeze of Dawn dish soap. Put on your favorite music and get started! Stick a vacuum tip in the entrance of all duct work; A lot of dirt and unwanted objects end up in vents and most times it is at hands reach!
Check your furnace filters; Clean filters are key to quality air in your home. 1" filters should be replaced every 2-4 months. 4"-5" filters should be replaced every 6-9 months.
Clean your HRV (Fresh Air Unit) filters; Do not forget about your HRV (Fresh Air Units) units, these units collect dust very quickly. Be careful with your filters are they are extremely hard to replace. Rinse them under warm water until the water is clean and then air dry. Vacuum the diamond filter and the unit itself.
Call, Fresh Start Duct Cleaning every 3-5 to clean those dirty ducts! National Air Duct Cleaning Association recommends duct cleaning every 3-5 years.
